During "Conversations About Consent" over Welcome Weekend, approximately 2,000 blue, gold, and grey square stickers were collected from incoming students. After attending the workshop, students responded to the prompt, "What does consent mean to me?" The Student Life Communications & Marketing creative team designed a method for displaying these stickers during April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The 4"x4" adhesive squares in yellow, two shades of blue, and silver were arranged, and an outline template was provided so Blue Hens Care student interns could select the most meaningful message and arrange them on a designed grid display.
This art installation helped students organize, interact with, better understand, and visualize the meaning of consent. It now serves as a constant reminder in the Perkins Student Center at the University of Delaware.
