Hosted by the Lavender Programming Board (LPB) student organization, the annual Drag Show is an annual highlight of student programming, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community while raising money for Aids Delaware.

This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the much-loved event had to be moved into a virtual realm. The student multimedia team from The Egg creative agency was recruited to assemble a pre-recorded production to be broadcast live on YouTube and social media on Saturday, November 7. The theme of this year’s show was “Bewitching.”

Video segments were provided by the artists and members of LPB. The multimedia team managed the entire project, editing the segments into a seamless production, complete with custom animated transitions that reflected the theme, such as flying bats and oozing slime. This project gave the student team an opportunity to build their skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, and also learn and utilize Adobe After Effects. The show was enthusiastically received and considered a great success.
