With the growth of the University of Delaware's Blue Hen Esports program and varsity teams, a primary goal for the 2021-22 academic year is to grow their broadcast presence on Twitch, leveraging the Shoutcast Station in the Esports Arena. Blue Hen Esports will begin streaming matches, interviews, feature programs, and short segments on their Twitch channel and other media outlets.
A library of video and animated components was developed in spring and summer 2021 by The Egg students Yifan Yang, Nikai Morales and Kate Zincone to provide some initial multimedia assets for these planned broadcasts. These components include 30 second intro and outro videos for varsity team match broadcasts, 30 second intro and outro videos for Inside Blue Hen Esports--a weekly interview series and behind-the-scenes look at the esports program, animated logos and lower thirds graphics, and an animated bug to include player names and photos during match broadcasts.
