The Student Life Web and UX team took oversight of the UD Current Students page in February 2024, completely overhauling the layout and design, and rebranding it as "Blue Hen Life." The page encompasses Student Life as a broader concept, beyond the Divisional organization. It includes resources and services from across campus to help students succeed in their co-curricular life as a University of Delaware student.
User research, including interviews and card-sorting was conducted in Fall 2023 to gather student input on what should be included on this page and how the content should be organized and prioritized.
In addition to wanting emphasis on events, programs and other ways to get involved, students who were interviewed expressed a need for the page to be functional; providing 'quick link' access to the tools and platforms they use daily.
